Major Giving Now

We developed this website as part of a Major Giving Initiative launched by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. It gives stations information and resources they can use to design and implement a major giving program. While the site is focused on public television, the information provided can be of value to any organization.

Art Museum Member Acquisition

Using state-of-the-heart design, we created a vibrant new member acquisition campaign for an art museum client. Since there was no visiting exhibit at the time to promote…and love was in season, we built the campaign around the art of romance. It appealed to the senses – and they responded.

Oregon Zoo Member Acquisition

To acquire members for the Oregon Zoo, we went ape over two new exhibits featuring orangutans and dinosaurs. New members swung by and the enclosed dinosaur decal was seen all over town.

OMSI Grossology Member Acquisition

Frankly, this was a really gross project and we loved it. It’s a member acquisition campaign created for OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) that capitalized on their popular “Grossology” exhibit. This was the first time we’ve ever used the word “boogers” in a mailing. We hope it’s not the last. Contains copyrighted images.

Winner of a Bronze ECHO.

Library Donor Acquisition

In some instances, a personal, emotional approach works best. In this donor support campaign for a public library, we crafted a message that any parent can relate to. How reading to children will benefit them for life and increase literacy in the community. It takes books, it takes a building, it takes a library. And a good acquisition campaign helps.

Seattle Symphony Special Appeal

The more you can tailor your appeals to each individual donor and member, the better the appeal will perform. In this special appeal we orchestrated for the Seattle Symphony, we created a highly personalized reply form based on each donor’s giving history.

Member Survey

So you want to know more about your donors? Ask them. If you want to know what your supporters think about your organization, in their own words, leave space for comments on a survey. This annual membership survey is an important source of information about donors as well as generating revenue.
